Ostomate KZN is a non-profit organization founded by Ms. Thobile Zondi, who has firsthand experience living with a stoma. Established in January 2024, the organization focuses on empowering individuals living with stoma in KwaZulu-Natal. Ostomate KZN aims to raise awareness, provide education, and offer support to help individuals navigate the physical and emotional challenges of living with a stoma.
Our services include hospital outreach to assist patients in medical settings, awareness workshops to educate the community, stoma support groups for sharing experiences, and trauma counseling to help individuals cope with emotional challenges. Through these programs, Ostomate KZN works to create a supportive network, ensuring that no one feels alone in their journey with stoma.
Visiting hospitals to support stoma patients, offering guidance and emotional care during recovery.

Is to provide counselling services and moral support, empower people who are affected by stoma to accept themselves and the situation and also educate the community about stoma and how to support people living with it.
Is to make sure that every person living stoma is well taken care of and receiving all the support they need to be able to lead a happy life.
Our main purpose is to breakdown the stigma attached to stoma through providing awareness and education as well as offering relevant resources. We will empower those living with stoma to speak up and show their pride and strength.
